The post office in the small town of Ora, Indiana in rural Pulaski County. A POW-MIA flag flies next to the American flag on the little cinderblock building. A blue mailbox sits on the sidewalk.

One day stephanie drove me through the tiny crossroads of Ora on the northern border of Pulaski County. I fell in love with this tiny postoffice and went back twice to photograph the post office and a church. The postmaster, who knew everyone who came in by name, allowed me to photograph her behind the counter that she's sat behind for decades. She complained that kids had vandalized the building by adding the letter N behind the word ORA. I laughed because in Fort Wayne vandals would have covered the whole outside with fanciful graffiti paintings and tags. Such is 'crime' in small town Indiana.
