Grain elevators and an abandoned rail depot in the town of Monterey, Indiana. The wooden train depot is overgrown with weeds and the windows are boarded up. The grain elevator has the Check-Mix logo on the top and a checkered pattern painted on the tower.

Monterey is a small town in northeastern Pulaski County; the train depot there is a classic example of a nineteenth century rural depot. This photograph was made right before a rainstorm in the spring of 2005.
