The abandoned Big Four Railroad Bridge over the Ohio River between Louisville, Kentucky and Jeffersonville, Indiana. Pictured from the Louisville side surrounded by construction debris from the waterfront park.

Abandoned bridge over the Ohio River. This is the Big Four Railroad Bridge, built in 1895, then rebuilt in 1929 using the old piers but new trusses. It was abandoned in 1969 and is now being turned into  pedestrian bridge with a new park on the Louisville side. This photo was made as construction of the parkland began in 2005. As of 2009, the bridge is still not open to the public yet.
