One of the large garage doors in the old abandoned brick church at the corner of Hoagland Road and Clayton Road in rural southeast Allen County, Indiana. The door is made of old blue painted wood siding. A green light with a large reflector hangs above the door. This is the newer addition to the side of the old church.

I discovered this abandoned brick church at the corner of Hoagland Road and Clayton Road in southeast Allen County while driving to the nearby town of Monroeville back in January, 2008. The weather was bad that day, as it was very windy, so I marked the map and vowed to return. I made this photograph on my third trip there, the first time I was able to find the right light without a lot of wind. It was Easter Sunday. It rained a few minutes after I made this photograph.

The church had a newer addition attached to the right side of it that looked to have been built specifically to serve as a barn or garage to store farm equipment. This door is on that new section. The original church building also had a similar door punched through the brick fascade.

I made several photographs of this building. See the next photograph of this church on Hoagland Road.
