The door in the steeple tower of an old abandoned brick church at the corner of Hoagland Road and Clayton Road in rural southeast Allen County, Indiana. The door is an old weathered wood panel door that is painted blue. A window with blue trim pierces the wall next to the blue door.

I discovered this abandoned brick church at the corner of Hoagland Road and Clayton Road in southeast Allen County while driving to the nearby town of Monroeville back in January, 2008. The weather was bad that day, as it was very windy, so I marked the map and vowed to return. I made this photograph on my third trip there, the first time I was able to find the right light without a lot of wind. It was Easter Sunday. It rained a few minutes after I made this photograph.

I made several photographs of this building. See the next photograph of this church on Hoagland Road.
