inside the abandoned farmhouse on county road 900S near Warren, Indiana along interstate 69 in Huntington County

This house is visible from Interstate 69 near Warren, Indiana in Huntington County just south of Fort Wayne. The owner still farms the land around it but lives elsewhere. In 2004, my buddy Kevin and I went there to photograph. The farmer pulls in with a pickup truck and a flatbed trailer that had the most disgusting thing I've ever seen...or smelled...in my entire life on it. There were two long-dead very decomposed hogs on the trailer. They had turned green. I almost threw up before I got to the car. Kevin said he was glad he lived in the city, and I had to agree. This was the very last photograph that I ever made of that house.

When I drove to Santa Fe in June, 2006 the house was still there. I flew back to Fort Wayne to visit my son in April 2007 and drove back to Santa Fe after that visit. I was shocked to find the house gone and its basement filled in with dirt.

This is the very last photograph that I made of the house. It is a view looking into the back door of the house.

I have six photographs of this house online. See the next photograph of this abandoned house.
