I discovered this concrete bench along Dalman Road in a rural area of Allen County several years ago, and photographed it during a snowstorm. It looks like an especially uncomfortable church pew! I photographed it again in 2012, also in a snowstorm!

When I made this photograph back in 2008, I promised the woman who lived there that I would give her a print it. I ended up misplacing the negative before I had a chance to print it, because I had moved shortly after making the photograph. I didn't find it again until late 2012, and got it printed in January, 2013.

I took the print to the house and talked to an elderly man who lived there. He said that the woman I had promised the print to was his daughter, and that he had built the concrete bench himself decades earlier. Sadly, he said that his daughter had died a couple of years earlier at age 47. I feel terrible that I wasn't able to get the print to her, but her father loved the print, which I gave to him.

Update: In December, 2016 I discovered that the concrete bench on Dalman road was gone. The house looks vacant, so I suspect that the old man who lived there has passed away.

All of my prints are available framed or unframed. I use black metal Neilsen & Bainbridge frames with white cotton unbuffered museum board for the mat and backing board for maximum archival protection. Photographs are printed on an Epson pigment printer using Epson's archival ultrachrome inset for long life.

Credit card payment is handled through Paypal. You do not have to have a Paypal account. When you checkout, you will be taken to Paypal's site. If you have a Paypal account, sign in and approve the payment.

If you do not have a Paypal account, and do not want to sign up for one, there is a link on the Paypal page that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?" Click it to pay without signing up. It will accept your credit card like a normal credit card payment.

Prints usually ship within 7 days. This allows time for me to make your print, and if you have ordered a framed print, to frame and mat it.
